CATEGORIES


There are no entry slots available for YELLOW COBALTS or HHR'S THIS YEAR!!!

1. Categories and Classes are initially established and based upon the entries of the last prior event as well as what pre-registration occurs [or does not occur] for each individual event/show. For us to expand into "Mild" and "Wild" classes we must the required number of pre entries in that section to justify it before we order the trophies for the particular event.
2. All Categories and Classes are subject to and may be deleted up until the actual awards ceremony of each individual car show event if there are not at least 3 entries per Category/Class.
3. Pre-registration and prior show participation insures the probability and likely hood that the proper categories and classes needed will be established for each and every event! However………
4. Please bear in mind that its more difficult for us to add categories and classes after our trophies and awards have already been ordered! Pre registration helps to insure that we will have a trophy for your entry. Normal entry fee is $45.00 with 2 armbands; $40.00 for pre-registration save [$5.00].
5.The only way for us to add classes or categories after the awards have been ordered is if there are entries on the pre registrations that end up not coming [“no shows”].
6. Pre -entries are accepted up until May 1st, 2009. Pre entry & normal entry payments are made by:

(A) Credit Cards must use www.paypal.com by simply sending money to vic-pal@msn.com

9. Roll in is between 9:30 am to 11 am.
10. Yes.. you can bring coolers and grills, but no GLASS. SPECIAL NOTE... Please don't stand in front of a concessions booth drinking beer because it basically rubs it in their nose; be cool about it. Also.. do not give beer or sell to people. TABC nabbed a few people at another show last year; so be cool.

Thanks for the Sticky old friend. Hmmm? I can see I may need to reintroduce Mean Streets to a few people. My name is Victor.... I am up in Austin. I founded Mean Streets as an Import Emphasis car show in 2003. By 2004 I was lucky to meet both Derrick and Tommy. Bavarian Speed sponsored several Mean Streets shows and it was a blast each time! This is definately something we should both consider resurrecting! The last time you guys sponsored one of our events you rolled with over twenty bad ass B's. This year we are having this May show in Austin, and a second show will occur either in Rosenberg, MSR/Angleton, or in San Antonio. Still researching it. In 2007... we rented the MSR road track to a drift competition and it was awesome. If we ever do it again we are going to open it up for plain lap time too. That track is just a blast. This was the first drift competition in the state of Texas to ever actually be held at a road track instead of a small round N round or the usual parking lot drift like Import ShowOff does when they visit H Town.
Anyway... here it is guys. This is always open to you... permanent standing offer... it can apply this year, next year, or any time you guys want to rock. It goes for any town we setting up in too. Its important to note here that some of these things may vary from venue to venue. For example... some venues may not have grass areas to stake down tents or a place to set up Bar b-q grills. Here it is...
1. 5 entries gets $5.00 off each car's entry fee and we will make sure you are standing together.
2. 10 entries gets $10.00 off each entry and insures "ownership" of a club area inside [if space is still available]. Outside is actually the most fun though ... we want you to get an area of your own where you can set up your tents, grill out, pretty much do wahteber you want. At this Austin show... there are these separate free standing "grass islands" ; some have their own electric and water too. Its like camping out at a car show man... fun. You can bring your own coolers, grills... hell... if you claim an "electric" island.. you can even set up your own DJ stand. I don't care... its yours... you own it for the day.
3. 20 entries gets you on the flyers as sponsors of the show. Everybody [including the other jealous clubs] will know that Bav Speed contributed enough to the event to be named as a major sponsor.
As far as categories goes.... your show guy simply lets me know what is coming; then he and I decide what categories will cover it and I order the trophies. All I ask is that there are enough entries to justify the trophies. Take M3's for example... there needs to be at least five entries to sustain a first thru third place trophy batch to cover them. Four entries would justify a Best and a Runner Up awards. There may even be enough to sustain a Mild and Wild???
Anyway... Mean Streets and Bav Speed have always worked together well. I think we should start cordinating shows again; it was alot more fun when we did! I know that the members from 5 years ago remember those times; they were a blast. I am so tired of hearing about the economy... blah-blah... its time to bring back the good timez.
